Another Fraud case/blackshop in Shanghai!!!
 

Last month I when to Shanghai expo plus business trip approx. 1 weeks plus, one of the night I'm out from hotel and take a walk to "Waitan" What a beautiful scene.....bla bla bla

A pimp walk by my side and make an offer of RMB 300 to get a girls....I'm doubting whethers that's cheap, why not go and have a look.Then we by cab to a hotel I forget the name but I guess this is a low end 3 stars hotel and beside the lobby there is a KTV club like that.

The Pimp pointed out a young lady for me and attachted together with a "MAMA Sang"...I'm wondering why? Nevermind the girls seems look good....then I start

to checking out the price with the "MAMA Sang". At first base on our conversation, it is very cheap aprox RMB 300 per hour and additional charges on fruit and liquor.

The price seems reasonable, okay then i continue to chit chat with the girl. 10 mins..20 mins (WTF the "MAMA Sang" still sitting there, damn annoying, then I have no choice tips her RMB 100 by doing nothing).

After she when off, that's the private session with the girl on negotiation on night out to my hotel :D reasonable deal RMB 1000 for 2 hours. Then i quickly ask for the bill and anticipate for the romantic night later on.

The NIGHTMATE !!!!

In order to get a bill the lady asking tips for collecting the bill Minimun RMB 300. Okay fine, i paid since i manage to get the cheap deal later on ....

After a while she come together with a waiter (a muscular guy) and show me the bill WTF !!! on the ship already !!! end up the entire Bill caused me RMB 2800

Blood Hell!!

Then I immediate show the black face, and start asking the charges item by item, few thing to highlight:

1. I'm there for less then an hour, they charge me 2 hours room rental RMB 600
2. Escort by doing nothing RMB 1000
3. Fruit, drink, others charges approx. RMB 1200

Then i start staring to the "MAMA Shang" and ask why didn't you mention in the first place! She replied you didn't ask in the first place and showing me the "Kan ni nia" face. I really think off to present her a slap !!!

No choice, in a place with full of stranger with no friends to help out. Just paid (definitely not worth it)

Another get pittoff stuff is when the time I leaving, the girls still holding my hand and send me to the entrance to wait for Cab. And I check with her
whether later on still on? She said up to me...Of cause i won't let her go easily (intended to fj her extremely since being cheat). After a while, cab arriving, she tell me she not going to share cab with me WTF! She giving the excuses of during the EXPO period Police checking are quite tight, and she will going to my room later on. Okay I trust her again by provide my hotel and room no.

End up she didn't turn up.......damn pittoff


to recall back ... sigh... maybe I'm too naive to believe them. I urge all the bros beware of this kind of trap, especially in China.


Anyway I forgot the name of the KTV, but I've only this name stated in my credit card bill "SHH FENG WANG HOTEL 47 SHANGHAI" end up the entire night spent me around approx. RMB 2800 + tips RMB 400

You should tell the waiter that you were from Singapore and you will report to police for sure. The EXPO is a hit to Sauna but also your protection. You need to tell them that if you got scammed and beaten, it becomes a very serious affair to local police and they will shut the KTV.

The waiter/manager won't risk their KTV and KTV licenses to get you charged for the extra 2500 RMB. Tell them it will become a lose-lose situation if you refused to pay and got beaten--you will call embassy protection and police will shut their KTV.

actually if u have spend time and effort to read up this thread ..
u'll be ware of such scam happening in shanghai and rest of china ...
that will put u on guard if such offer is extended when u r there ..
this is not a new trick .. it happened many yrs ago ...

have u read abt how they lure u to a house .. tied and beat u up ...
rob u of ur valuables and even go to the extend of making withdrawals from ur atm card ...
there r also cases when the thugs go to ur hotel room and ransack ur safe after they force u to disclose ur safe password ..

all these r posted in this forums ....
if u only spend time and effort to read it ..

I kana before as well but I tell myself wanna walk along the river then don't be afraid to get your legs wet.

It's also not alot of $$$ if u convert to SGD just take it one night of party with nothing. But just be glad u are in one good pcs and still got chance to get more comfort and consolution from PRC mei mei down the road.

Hope other bro also can understand it's not many bro do not read or know about these type of scram. When u travel alone, and try to be adventous in search of a gem, it's either we make it and share the meat later or we fail and share again.

Singapore island is discovered by Sir Stamford raffles and he managed to share this news and developed this island. But he was damn lucky not to be biten by the lion when he first saw the animal. If not, he will also go back england with a sore heart. Haha..

So bro, I hope u can be like me recover from the sore heart soon. Trust me it heal faster with help of PRC mei mei. Haha.. Let's move on more cautious but don't stop us from living our life.. Cheers..

Bro, in shaghai you must ALWAYS behave very "garang"and talk louder than them...if you don't like & not happy, raise your voice or else you will kena makan by them, they are very smart and always see face, if you act meek and scared, they will eat you alive...its OK to be abit rude and talk loudly or even call the captain in a very commanding tone to show that you are not a person to be bullied...always end your sentence with a "KAN MA DE!!!" loud loud...by doing this they will be put in place...don't be afraid to challenge them, they also scared and won't anyhow fark around as the local cops there will side you as the foreigner/tourist, all you have to do is act pissed off and talk loudly to get your way...this is one of the traits of shaghai culture that i picked up while there...and it works!

I don't suggest any bros to listen to this advise... you might end up on the wrong side...

Anyway, if you travel alone in China, the best entertaiment outlet is your own hotel KTV and massage / sauna. If those are not avialable in you hotel, ask the front desk for recommendation. Don't listen to pimp lurking outside your hotel or taxi drivers.

well, up to you...but this works for me, you know why? i observed the taiwanese and they behave like this and they now lord over the shanghainese/chinese nationals over business and shit because they stand up and have guts...and it works for them really well, you don't see the taiwanese getting conned in china at all!!!that is why we sporeans fail over there cos they keep conning us and we let them...and we buy their shit...well too bad, i'm just sharing my 2 cents worth as this works for me whenever i'm there and feel that there may be a potential chinaman trick coming on...i won't fall for their nonsense!
